Dear members, dear breeders,
On Sunday evening, the board received the news that Harm Sievers had declared his resignation as a board member of the Holsteiner Verband to the managing director of the Association of Breeders of the Holsteiner Horse, Roland Metz.
We greatly regret this step. Indeed, not all decisions made on the board in recent months were without friction, but ultimately decisions were made democratically. Every board member occasionally had to make a compromise and many decisions were successful.
Just last week, on 1 December, the board held a harmonious and constructive meeting together with the district chairmen, in which we were able to draw a positive balance for the Holsteiner horse, but also critically discussed areas for improvement in the field of our events.
Since the succession for the management of the Hengsthaltungs GmbH was successfully resolved, all of us on the board had the hope that future work would become a little easier.
We thank Harm for his tireless dedication to the Holsteiner horse and hope to continue to work constructively with him, even if no longer on the board of the Holsteiner Verband.
