Holsteiner Results: Cous Cous wins in Italy, My Lady Lavista in Spain

He has been one of the most consistent top performers in Hans-Dieter Dreher’s stable for years and delivered yet again last weekend: Cous Cous, a son of Cachas Lasino, secured a victory over 1.45 metres. Cous Cous was bred by Norbert Schmalbach (Mollhagen), line 18B1, and emerged victorious at the show in Busto Arsizio, Italy – in the narrowest of margins, finishing one hundredth of a second ahead of the runner-up, Rikke Heineking from Denmark.

In Oliva, Spain, it was Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and My Lady Lavista by Mylord Carthago-Levisto (Klaus-Peter Wiepert, Neuratjensdorf), line 7369, who were presented with the prizes for victory over 1.45 metres. The mare had already enjoyed great success over the winter in Riesenbeck and Doha (QAT).

Eventing
At last, back to the bush! The nation’s eventing riders are delighted to be able to resume their competition season. Last weekend saw a competition in Luhmühlen, where a well-known pair took second place in a three-star class: Carlitos Quidditch K by Quiwi Dream-Cassini I (Miriam Kühl, Steinfeld), line 6082, and Malin Hansen-Hotopp.
