At the weekend, the elite of the (show jumping) world gathered in Fort Worth, Texas (USA), to compete in the World Cup Final. A Holsteiner son of Casall performed with confidence throughout all rounds and secured fourth place in the final standings.That horse was Cody, ridden by Rene Dittmer. The son of Casall out of a Quidam de Revel dam was born at Sören von Rönne’s stud in Neuendeich and belongs to line 8900. Seventh place was also taken by Carissimo by Cascadello I–Clinton I (Sport A Media, SLO-Vinicne), line 2666, and Aaron Vale (USA).
In Ehlersdorf, an S** class with a jump-off was held to decide the Grand Prix, in which two Holsteiners shared the victory: one was the former World Champion of Young Show Jumpers, Caillan by Casall-Carry (Gerd Ohlsen, Föhr), line 18A2, ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, and the other was the Holsteiner Association stallion Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt, Wöhrden), line 4847, ridden by Arne van Heel.
Li La Bo is a son of Uriko out of a Casall dam. He was bred by Lothar Steuer from Pansdorf (line 318D2) and has been enjoying great success under the Italian rider Elia Simonetti for just under three years. The pair achieved their first major success with a victory over 1.50 metres at the Frankfurt Festhalle, followed, amongst other things, by victory in the Wiesbaden Grand Prix. Now the pair have emerged victorious from a challenging show jumping competition in St Tropez (FRA).
You don’t often come across a Totilas offspring in 1.40-metre show jumping competitions. Yet Toronto Raptor (sire: Corofino I), bred by Annette Beckmann, demonstrated just how well he can jump in Gorla Minore. On his dam’s side, he is of pure Holstein lineage, hails from line 18B1 and won the S* show jumping competition with Barbara Schnieper (SUI).
