Holsteiner Verband Vermarktungs- und Auktions-GmbH is part of the corporate group of the Holsteiner Verband. The Holsteiner Verband is a traditional company with the highest standards. Numerous international top sport horses and sire greats have been discovered at the Holsteiner auctions. The GmbH organises around ten auctions per year and places 150 Holsteiner horses and foals from Holsteiner breeders into the whole world annually.

You are involved in designing your new workplace and can rely on the support of our experienced team.

Your Responsibilities:

• You independently manage accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger accounting
• You draw up all incoming and outgoing invoices (domestic and foreign incl. special tax cases) in the context of the auctions
• You are responsible for payment transactions, receivables management and cash book accounting.
• You prepare the monthly VAT advance return as well as monthly and annual financial statements incl. reporting
• You maintain direct contact with our business partners at home and abroad, with a knowledge of English being an advantage

Following an intensive induction period, your area of competence will expand:

• You are responsible for the development and management of accounting and lead the team.
• You develop transparent and meaningful controlling and reporting for the management to support financial decisions based on data.

Your Profile:

• You have successfully completed commercial training and have sound professional experience in financial accounting
• Your passion is the continuous improvement of the financial accounting system that makes processes efficient and transparent.
• You are interested in the digital transformation of accounting.
• You understand how to lead, motivate and further develop a team while also handling operational tasks yourself.
• You work in a goal-oriented, structured and independent manner. A high degree of personal initiative and a pronounced affinity for figures characterise you.
• You use DATEV and MS Office programmes with confidence and working with complex Excel spreadsheets comes easily to you.
• You enjoy communicating with our Holsteiner breeders and customers in an appreciative and competent manner.
• Communicating with our foreign business clients, predominantly in English, comes easily to you.
