Tomorrow marks the start of the 50th Holsteiner Licensing and Elite Auction at the Holstenhallen in Neumünster. In light of the current situation, a comprehensive hygiene plan has been drawn up so that, from Thursday onwards, the focus can be on the horses.
The event kicks off on Thursday, as is traditional, with the inspection of the stallions on solid ground; spectators are warmly invited to attend free of charge – face coverings are compulsory throughout the venue. “We saw an exemplary approach to the regulations at the Trakehner Association’s licensing and auction two weeks ago and are now looking forward all the more to our annual highlight at the Holstenhallen,” said Roland Metz. On Friday, the horses will be put through their free jumping and free walking tests. On this day, 30 October, the candidates for the Elite Riding Horse Auction will also be presented to interested parties from 6 pm.
On Saturday, 31 October, the announcement will be made as to which stallions have received a positive licensing verdict, as well as which of the licensed stallions has been chosen as the 2020 Champion Stallion. The excitement continues at the Elite Riding Horse Auction from 11.00 am, followed by bidding battles for the approved and unapproved stallions up for sale. All the auctions will take place in a hybrid format – so bids can be placed live on site, by telephone or via https://holsteiner.auction/de/home.

Due to the coronavirus situation, only a limited number of table seats are available. A full name, address and telephone number must be provided when ordering. The price per seat ranges from 100 to 150 euros (depending on the category) and is valid for two days, Friday and Saturday. Admission is free on Thursday for the parade.
