On 28 October 2023, the Elite Riding Horse Auction will take place against a fitting backdrop as part of the Holsteiner Autumn Event in Elmshorn, which includes a saddle inspection and sport trials for stallions. You can now register your horses for pre-selection.
The Holsteiner Auctions have already produced numerous top-class sport horses and offer you, as a breeder or owner of a young, talented Holsteiner, the opportunity to present your gem to a vast international audience. This is where, for example, the careers of the double European Eventing Champion, JL Dublin by Diarado, and Laura Klaphake’s 1.60-metre show jumper Camalita by Cracker Jack began. The same goes for Lord Lucio (formerly Herr Lucio), whom Rodrigo Pessoa counts among the top horses in his stable: this son of Legolas is sired by none other than Laura Kraut’s Zeremonie by Cero I, and once changed hands in Elmshorn. Today he competes in challenging international show jumping competitions. Most recently, he placed at Chantilly (FRA) and Lichtenvoorde (NED) and won a Grand Prix in Wellington (USA).
Holsteiners aged between three and eight years, whose owners are members of the association, may be presented for the auction pre-selection. The selection of well-ridden, high-quality horses will take place at several events in August across the wider breeding region and at three events in Schleswig-Holstein. The suitability of the horses for the auction will be assessed under saddle and in free jumping.
