He travelled from Denmark and changed hands as the most expensive foal into German ownership: Unique by Uricas v/d Kattevennen-Cornet Obolensky (Stutsborg Youngster/DEN) cost 16,500 euros. He has Goriana and Coriana from the famous van Klapscheut family as his grandam and great-grandam—the highly decorated relatives of this stallion prospect could therefore fill entire books.
Auctioneer Hendrik Schulze Rückamp knocked down the filly Tummy Tuck by Casallco-United Way (Dr. Antonio Conde, Wöhrden) for 16,000 euros. Günther Friemel secured this jewel of stem 2472 from the direct dam line of the legendary Contender for regular customers from South Africa.
Diamanfino KNT by Diamant de Semilly-Baloubet du Rouet (Wojciech Kasperski, POL) was worth 15,500 euros to his new owners. He represents the family of the licensed stallions Corofino I and II by Corrado I as well as Diarado by Diamant de Semilly and thus numerous other top athletes.
In Riesenbeck, people have obviously taken a great liking to Zuccero HV: After a sponsor recently acquired the sporting rights to the stallion for Maximilian Weishaupt via Ludger Beerbaum, Beerbaum struck again in Hamburg: For the Zuccero son Zeus LM (dam's sire: Casall, Lars Müller, Winsen), stem 1120, the hammer fell at 15,000 euros. "I am very pleased that Ludger Beerbaum is so enthusiastic about this foal from the dam line of his former successful horse Chiara that he bought it on the spur of the moment," says auction manager Felix Flinzer.
On average, the foals cost 13,000 euros with a clearance rate of 92 percent.
