Tomorrow is the big day: in Hörup, ten selected foals and four talented young show jumpers are waiting for their new owners at the Holsteiner Verband Meets Holsteiner Highlight Sales@Springflut Festival. If you haven’t yet registered on the holsteiner.auction portal, you should do so in good time before the auction begins. A visit to Hörup for the Springflut Festival, featuring competitions up to S*** level, is definitely well worth it.
A varied supporting programme featuring top-class show jumping, an exhibition, childcare and the foal championship of the Schleswig-Flensburg breeding district adds to the atmosphere of the event at the Johannsen family’s grounds (Nordhackstedter Straße 8, 24980 Hörup). For the first time, all auction horses and foals will be presented to the public today, Friday 9 July, at 3.00 pm, before the auction begins in a hybrid format on Saturday at 6.00 pm. Springflut Festival Collection
International star sires such as Clarimo, Casall and I’m Special de Muze are sending their offspring to the auction, but highly promising offspring of younger and up-and-coming stallions are also making their way to Hörup: for example, catalogue number 7, Olympia by Dubliner-Casall. This filly’s half-brother, Kilian D by Kannan, is currently making a name for himself with impressive performances in classes for young show jumpers, having recently won a 1.25-metre class in Munich-Riem under Adrian Schmid. The direct dam line also produces Lacalito by Legolas, a 1.55-metre show jumper who is enjoying success under the Danish rider Zascha Nygaard Andreasen, a rider at Andreas Keuzer’s stables. Catalogue number 102, Kami by Casall-Carambo, is four years old and already ready for show jumping. She is descended from the line of the Olympic horse Burg’s Samantha (Bert Romp), and the dam line excels right up to the fourth generation, both through its own high performance and through successful offspring such as Avourneen by Carentan (Jörg Kreutzmann) or Miss Jacson by Aloube Z (Niklas Arvidsson).
The riding horses can be tried out by arrangement until the auction begins.
