On Saturday afternoon, five riding horses and 25 foals were put up for auction at Herbert-Blöcker-Platz in Elmshorn. The highest price was achieved by catalogue number 5, Dilaro by Dinken-Casall, bred by Johann Hermann Claussen from Neuenkirchen. The stallion, from line 3389, already has a track record of success in show jumping up to 1.30 metres and was sold to Colombia for 49,000 euros. Catalogue number 102, Madrid by Central Park-Corrado I (Frauke Bahnsen, Leck), became the second most expensive horse. The five-year-old mare has also already proven herself in competition; she cost 37,000 euros. Catalogue number 104, Miss Dark Air by Cornet Obolensky out of Diarado (Carsten Lauck, Pinneberg), line 8888, also went to Colombia for 36,000 euros. “I am very satisfied with the sale of the riding horses. After a break of several years, this auction has made a positive comeback,” summarised Felix Flinzer, Managing Director of Holsteiner Verband Auktions und Vermarktungs GmbH.
Among the foals, catalogue number 4 attracted the most interest. Sienna vom Borndeich by Casall-Crunch (Sönje Hass, Herzhorn, and Doris Türpe, Dingolshausen), line 3389, was sold to Belgium for 9,500 euros.
