Since the beginning of March, Mathies Rüder has been enriching the Holsteiner Verband's team of stable riders in Elmshorn. "I am very pleased that we were able to win Mathies, one of Germany's best Young Riders," says managing director Felix Flinzer.

The 19-year-old Mathies Rüder originates from the island of Fehmarn. As part of a training partnership with his parents' business, the prospective professional horse groom specialising in riding will henceforth also be active at the Verband facility. His parents Kai and Petra Rüder are themselves highly successful in eventing and show jumping, and Mathies too already looks back on an impressive record of results: In the Children age group, he was German Champion in show jumping and won silver in the Nations Cup final. In the HGW federal youth championship, he led the presentation ceremony in 2021. He won individual gold in eventing for Juniors in 2022, and team bronze for Young Riders in 2024. Last year, Mathies achieved a top-10 placing at the Hamburg Derby with For Freedom EKT by For Fashion-Carthago, family 1298, and also placed as one of the youngest participants in the 1.60-metre heavy Derby course at Hickstead with the stallion bred by Reimer Rolfs (Norderwöhrden). In the course, he collects placings up to 1.50-metre show jumping classes, and was highly placed recently with, amongst others, Flora V by Cascadello I-Acobat II (Jan Verhagen/NED), family 1859, and Carlesta by Casall-Corrado I (Joachim Jürgens, Bollbrügge), family 42B, in Neumünster (GER) and Opglabbeek (BEL), for example.

As part of the training partnership, Mathies Rüder supports both the marketing team and the stallion keeping GmbH. Dear Mathies, a warm welcome to the Elmshorn stable rider team!
