Felix Flinzer talks about the Holsteiner Spring Auction

The countdown to the spring auction, licensing and breeders’ fair is on: the presentation of the auction horses will take place at 4 pm on Friday 28 March. On Saturday 29 March, the day begins with trial rides of the auction horses (8 am to 12 noon), and from 12 noon onwards, the licensing candidates will make their grand entrance. From around 3 pm, a bespoke event for interested parties – the Breeders’ Fair – will take place: stallion owners will set up their stands in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle and will not only be able to engage directly with breeders but also give entertaining presentations of their stud farms and stallions on stage. There will also be specialist talks on how to achieve your dream foal, as well as information on registration options with the Holsteiner Verband – in short, a comprehensive package covering everything from choosing the right stallion to the birth and registration of your foal. And that’s not all: stud fee vouchers from the stallion owners will be raffled off and free beer will be served. At 6.30 pm, auctioneer Hendrik Schulze-Rückamp will take to the podium and the bidding battles of the spring auction can begin. Afterwards, there’ll be a proper celebration at the After Auction Party! Admission to the entire event is free.
