In a week’s time, the Holsteiner Autumn Event in Elmshorn will be taking place, offering an attractive equestrian programme for those interested, featuring the Elite Riding Horse Auction, the saddle approval, as well as a short aptitude test and a sport test for stallions. At the Elite Riding Horse Auction on Saturday 28 October from 6.00 pm, 30 highly promising sport horses will be up for auction.
These include, for example, catalogue number 104, Loretta WH by Casall-Contender, who has already enjoyed success in show jumping classes over 1.10 metres. Her granddam, by Heraldik xx, also produced the licensed stallion Mighty Magic, who enjoyed success in three-star eventing. With Andreas Dibowski (GER) in the saddle, he once galloped to the world championship title in the young eventing horse category. Other competitive horses, such as Conradin by Contender (Matt Williams/USA), who has placed at 1.50-metre level, come from this family. Or take catalogue number 109, No Limit by Christian-Kannan. This three-year-old represents the valuable 741 line; the dam line has produced top international horses and sires such as Cardento by Capitol I (Peter Eriksson/SWE), Cartello VDL by Cartani (Darragh Kenny/IRL) and Colore by Contender (Hans-Dieter Dreher/GER). Catalogue number 114, Chance by Crack-Cassini II, also looks very promising. He is the spitting image of his sire Crack, a German Champion and winner of the Warendorf Grand Prix. And Chance’s dam’s side also boasts notable successes in show jumping: his dam is not only the full sister of the 1.60-metre jumpers Ophelia II (Kevin Staut/FRA) and Cathy (Oktay Sezek/TUR). She has also produced internationally successful offspring herself, including Doro by Quadros, who competes in 1.45-metre show jumping courses with Björn Behrend.
