Both the foal and show seasons are gathering pace, and you may already be thinking about the best marketing channels for your foals and riding horses. You have until 23 April 2025 to enter your foals and riding horses for pre-selection for the auctions in Elmshorn and Hamburg Klein-Flottbek!
With the Holsteiner foal auctions taking place as part of the German Derby in Hamburg and at the Holsteiner Horse Days in Elmshorn, you have two top-class options available as early as May and June. A summer riding horse auction is also scheduled for the middle of the year.
On 29 May 2025, the foal auction will once again take place at the Derby grounds in Klein-Flottbek. On Ascension Thursday, a selection of foals will be auctioned off at one of the most traditional equestrian events of all.
During the Holsteiner Horse Days, featuring the State Championships and the Breeders’ Association Mare Show, a foal auction is also a must. This will be held on Saturday 14 June 2025 at the Breeders’ Association grounds.
As part of this event, a select lot of riding horses will also find new owners. Ten to 15 horses aged between four and eight years will be offered here and can also be entered for pre-selection.
