Caruso Bello by Cascadello I-Carry (Manfred Birchler, Bilten/SUI), line 890, was sold to Italy at the auction of licensed stallions in 2017. At his licensing, the now six-year-old was awarded the title of premium stallion; he has now secured the bronze medal at the Italian Young Horse Championships.

“A magnificent specimen who stood out as the best of his year from a very early age,” said Dr Thomas Nissen, the breeding director at the time, of the grey. “In terms of his breed type and conformation, he is a textbook example of the Holsteiner horse. Over jumps, he impresses with his awareness and lightness; his leg action and ability point to a future in show jumping.” Dr Nissen was to be proved right, as Caruso Bello impressively demonstrated by finishing third with Giovanni Lucchetti at the Italian Young Horse Championships over 1.25 metres.
