You can now enter your well-trained four- to eight-year-old horses, as well as three-year-old raw talents, for pre-selection for the Holsteiner Spring Auction.
The Spring Auction will take place on 23 March 2024 in Elmshorn as a hybrid auction. This is where several Holsteiner success stories have begun, stories that a few years later have found their way onto the front pages of equestrian magazines, onto television or onto the World Wide Web – for example, that of Callas: In March 2013, the Casall-Coriano daughter (Jürgen Böge, Bunshoh), line 7492, was put up for auction at the Spring Auction. At 70,000 euros, the dark bay mare became the top-priced horse and is currently enjoying great success internationally in classes up to 1.60 metres with McLain Ward (USA). She most recently finished second in the World Cup leg in Fort Worth (USA), with a prize fund of 250,000 US dollars, won the 1.60-metre Grand Prix in Wellington (USA) and came fourth in the Aachen Nations Cup.
She was discovered in Elmshorn by Theo Molenaers and Jos Lansink, who purchased her jointly. She achieved her first competitive successes with Marcel Willems (NED) on the Youngster Tour, before going on to achieve top placings in difficult courses at national and international level with Hikari Yoshizawa (JPN). Since 2022, World Cup winner McLain Ward has been riding the mare, who made her first public appearance at the auction in Elmshorn.
So please register your promising young Holsteiners for the pre-selection for the Spring Auction by 10 January 2024. The selection of horses will take place in January at various locations across the wider breeding region, as well as at three locations in Schleswig-Holstein.
