As previously reported, the outbreak of equine herpesvirus (EHV-1) at the Spanish equestrian competition CES Valencia has forced all breeding and equestrian events in Germany and many European countries to be cancelled or postponed. Unfortunately, this also affects the 35th Holsteiner Spring Auction, which was originally due to take place on 27 March in Elmshorn.

“Taking the calendar into account, we have been able to find a new date, so we will reschedule the Holsteiner Spring Auction for 25 April 2021 – provided that the outbreak is under control by then,” said Managing Director Roland Metz, outlining the plans. Full details regarding the presentations, trial rides and so on will be announced shortly.
