On Sunday 26 June, the second edition of a joint foal championship organised by the Holsteiner Verband and the Achim Horse Breeders’ Association will take place at the Hollen stud farm in Oyten, Lower Saxony. Around 40 foals are expected – 20 Holsteiners and 20 Hanoverians. Mares will arrive for registration at around 2 pm, before the foals are presented. Dr Eva-Maria Junkelmann and Deike Ahsbahs from Holstein have been appointed as judges, alongside Hartmut Kettelhodt representing the Hanoverian Association. The video and results portal Rimondo will be broadcasting the event live on its website.
Last year, around 300 spectators were welcomed, who were treated to snacks, cold drinks, interesting horses and a convivial atmosphere. This year, thanks to the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, there are no longer any limitations.
