The second edition of the "Equine Inseminator for Own Stocks" course hosted by the Holsteiner Verband took place in November 2024 in Elmshorn. This course was also organised by the Holsteiner Zucht- und Sportförderung e.V., the Hengsthaltungs GmbH and the Hoffeld station.
14 participants were equipped in theory and practice by Dr Simone Konopka, Gerard Muffels and speakers from the Ministry of Agriculture of Schleswig-Holstein to take the examination for the "Equine Inseminator for Own Stocks". The waiting list from December 2023 was long, meaning that the coveted places had already been allocated in advance.
Of particular note is the cooperation with the Trakehner breeding association, for which four breeders undertook sometimes long journeys – from Austria, Saxony and the Weser Uplands – to complete the course. Everyone was enthusiastic about the content and delivery of the lessons. They passed the examination and now hold the coveted "certificate" in their hands.
