In a 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Wellington, USA, Austria by Casall-Corrado I (Heide M. Kriegler, Sigless), stock number 4564, and Kent Farrington (USA) took the win. In this class, Coralissa by Con Air-Corrado I (Gerd Küst, Pinneberg) also finished seventh.
Four Holstein horses were represented in the top two teams in the Nations Cup at Vejer de la Frontera: having already been part of the victorious German team in Vilamoura (POR) – with C-Vier by Cardento-Concorde (W. Wolters, Groningen), line 8818, and David Will had already been part of the victorious German team in Vilamoura (POR), they now also triumphed in the Nations Cup in Cádiz (ESP), as Germany once again took gold. Also represented in the team with Holsteiner pedigree was D-Cassina by Cassini I-Caretino (Carsten Harms, Rastede), line 1752, ridden by Maximilian Lill. The second-placed team from Denmark also fielded two Holsteiners: Darc de Lux by Darco-Contender (Morten Augustinus, Bogense), line 1094, ridden by Andreas Schou. And Colina by Colman-Cassini I (Lothar and Sven Völz, Wöhrden), line 2065, ridden by Lars Bak Andersen.
With 15-year-old Lizanna Kiss (HUN) in the saddle, Cashflow by Cash and Carry-Quinar from the Holsteiner Verband’s breeding programme, line 2554, won a 1.40-metre show jumping class in Budapest. The gelding made his debut in top-level competition under Jörg Naeve and has achieved placings up to 1.55 metres.
In Omago, Italy, Casper vd Rode Poelhoeve by Casall-Quinar (Klaus Thiedemann, Oesterwurth), line 2543, won a 1.45-metre show jumping class with Giulia Martinengo Marquet (ITA). In addition, Clarima by Clarimo-Quintero (Carsten Schafmeyer, Diepholz), line 1859, finished fifth under Adrian Schmid (SUI). Clarico by Clarimo-Briscar (Richard Meier, Marne), line 425, finished eighth with Roberto Turchetto (ITA) in the saddle.
In the 1.45-metre qualifier at Oliva (ESP), D’Artagnan de la Lys by Diamant de Semilly–Calando I (Frederik Ruyssen, Belgium), line 173, and Andres Vereecke (BEL) took the win. The Clarimo-Casall daughter Anuschka (S.C. Sofino, St. Vith/Recht), line 6879, and Harry Allen took third place in this competition.
