Next Sunday, 27 June, a joint foal championship of the Holsteiner and Hanoverian Verband will take place at the Hollen breeding yard in Oyten, Lower Saxony.
Around 40 foals are expected – 20 Holsteiners and 20 Hanoverians. At around 2.30 pm, a number of mares will arrive for registration, before the foals are presented from around 3.00 pm. Holsteiner Breeding Director Stephan Haarhoff and Hartmut Kettelholdt from the Hanoverian Association have been secured as judges. In addition, Roland Metz, Head of Marketing at the Holsteiner Association, will select potential auction candidates. The video and results portal Rimondo will be broadcasting the event live on its website.
The relaxed coronavirus restrictions mean that spectators are also welcome; they can look forward to snacks, cold drinks, interesting horses and a convivial atmosphere.
