A Holsteiner horse won a bronze medal at the World Championships for Young Eventing Horses in Le Lion D’Angers, France.
Corminta vom Gwick by Cormint-Contendro I (photo), bred by Horst Schneider of Bröthen, was ridden to third place in the six-year-old class by Dutch rider Merel Blom. Behind her came Cabinet, a daughter of Clinton I and Jayadeva de Mackinac (Konrad Sinn, Hohenaspe), ridden by the American Tiana Coudray; she had previously passed into American ownership via the foal auction in Elmshorn. The new World Champion is a Westphalian-branded daughter of Cascadello and Templer GL xx: Cascamara, who completed the test with her dressage score under Ingrid Klimke.
Crossborder Radar Love by Diarado-Claudio’s Son (Hindrick Stüvel, Stapel) came eighth in the seven-year-olds’ class under Merel Blom. In twelfth place, Dorotheental’s Canela by Cormint-Cassini I (ZG v. Dörnberg/v. Malaise, Damp), ridden by Sonja Kirn, narrowly missed out on a placing. Welland Shining Star by Casalito-Corofino I (ZG Stegemann, Esch), ridden by Jeanne Rossez (France); Fame by Casall-Carrico (Katharina Sonntag, Bargteheide) came 23rd under Rebecca-Joanna Gerken after a stop on the cross-country course.
