The final rankings of the World Breeding Federation for Sport Horses (WBFSH) are out – and the results from a Holsteiner perspective give every reason to celebrate: first place in the eventing ranking of studbooks worldwide, silver in the show jumping category, and to top it all off, Ocke Riewerts was crowned WBFSH Eventing Breeder of the Year 2025 for the successes of his Landos-Quinar son London.
Thus, the Verband der Züchter des Holsteiner Pferdes e.V. was able to defend its top position from the previous year in the eventing standings. These six top-scoring horses contributed to this success:
London by Landos-Quinar (Ocke Riewerts, Föhr), stem 3200, with Laura Collett (GBR)

Gold for Ocke Riewerts – take two!
He advanced to become team Olympic champion and won individual bronze in Paris, triumphed in the most difficult five-star courses and is reigning European champion – now London has ensured that a special honour is bestowed upon his breeder from the island of Föhr: Ocke Riewerts may henceforth call himself "WBFSH Eventing Breeder 2025".
"London is one of the most famous competition horses of modern times – a horse whose elegance, athleticism and courage have captivated fans all over the world," says the WBFSH of this exceptional Holsteiner athlete. "His exceptional skills in dressage, his courage and intelligence across the country and his clear jumping rounds have made him a benchmark for modern eventing," the WBFSH further praises. A wonderful compliment for the breeder who maintains his small, family-run breeding establishment far away from the limelight, yet is allowed to bear the title of best eventing breeder in the world for the second time already. Two other Holsteiner breeders can be found among the top ten in this ranking: Volker Göttsche-Götze (JL Dublin) in sixth place, Miriam Kühl (Carlitos Quidditch K) in seventh place.

And in show jumping too, Holsteiner horses have achieved a top position, moving up two places compared to the previous year: In this year's overall ranking, Holsteiners and their breeders lie on the well-deserved silver rank. These top-scoring six horses secured this:

The successes of Bull Run's Jireh also earn his breeder Timm Peters second place in the show jumping breeder ranking. Jireh started his sport career in Schleswig-Holstein under Lena Glisic and is now decorated with numerous placings at the highest level with his US American rider Kristen Vanderveen. Ralf Lütje, proud breeder of Monaco, ranks seventh in the show jumping breeder ranking.
