The few competitions that are currently still permitted to take place, given the herpes situation, are mainly being held in North America. Holstein horses celebrated successes last week in Thermal, Wellington (both in the USA) and Balvanera (MEX).

In Wellington, the Cosido-Lerano son GK California (Manfred Kummetz, Lübeck), line 5401, won a 1.40-metre show jumping class under Lauren Fischer (USA). The bay stallion is by Ilona IV, who herself enjoyed success up to 1.60 metres, and has placed up to 1.50 metres under his rider.

Conners Boy by Connor-Cassaro (Lüder Meyer, Verden), line 776, made a name for himself in Thermal when he won a 1.40-metre show jumping class under Alexandre Azevedo (GER) and secured further placings at this level. The Lordanos-Corrado I daughter Bella Luna R was born in Schönhorst, Schleswig-Holstein, at ZG Reimer and is now enjoying success in the USA under Kristina Cain. This representative of line 6407 triumphed in a 1.40-metre show jumping class.

In Mexico, Beautiful Red by Casall-Colman (Axel Gast, Zarrentin), line 1228, and Salvador Oñate (MEX) took bronze in a 1.55-metre show jumping class. The chestnut mare enjoyed great success initially under Frank Schulze (GER) and then under Frank Schuttert (NED) up to 1.50 metres, before coming under the saddle of the Mexican rider Oñate and has since placed up to 1.60 metres. In addition, Coronado by Cassini I-Acord II (Karl-Heinz Markussen, Hochviöl), line 8828, finished tenth in this class with Francisco Pasquel (MEX).
