At the Amadeus Horse Indoors in Salzburg, Silver Surfer won two difficult show jumping classes over 1.40 metres. The Casall-Levisto Z son (Peter Rauert, Fehmarn), line 162, entered competition under Inga Czwalina (GER) and Walter Gabathuler (SUI) and has achieved placings up to 1.60 metres. He has now secured these victories for his 17-year-old rider, Géraldine Straumnan (SUI). Cashmere by Cassini II-Littorio (Franz Peter Jennissen, Friedberg), line 95, took second place in a class with Antonia Weixelbraun (AUT) in the saddle. In a 1.45-metre fault-time jumping class, Chiara II by Cormint-Ramirado (Sonja Franzenburg-Much, Holstenniendorf), line 1947, and Leila Bingold took second place, whilst Chocolat Blanc by Cartani-Leonid (Johann Gerdes, Bargstedt), line 7728) and David Moser (AUT) came fifth. These pairs also took fifth and seventh place in a 1.55-metre class.
Annabelle, a daughter of Conteur and Linaro, bred and owned by Günther Fielmann (Schierensee), line 776, and Helen Langehanenberg (GER) once again shone in the arena this weekend. At the World Cup leg in Salzburg, the pair secured fifth place in the Grand Prix and third place in the Grand Prix Freestyle. Following this leg, Langehanenberg and the 13-year-old currently sit second in the Western European League standings for the World Cup Final in Gothenburg and thus have the chance to qualify for this high-profile final.
Canmore by Casall-Contender (Birgit Becker, Metelen), line 18A2, and Markus Renzel (GER) have added another S-class victory to their list of achievements following their late entry at Riesenbeck. The nine-year-old is owned by the Wöckener family and was introduced to the sport by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann before moving to Renzel.
In the USA, the Canstakko-Carthago daughter Celina BH (Lonnie Bechmann Schultz, Rödding/DEN), line 3323, took first place in a 1.45-metre show jumping class with Mimi Gochman (USA). Erle by Diarado-Quinar (Jürgen Block, Kiel), line 238, took third place in this competition with Gigi Moynihan (USA) in the saddle.
