On Wednesday morning, 118 six-year-olds competed in an M* class show jumping class (1.25 metres) at the National Championships. The judges awarded the highest mark of 8.8 – and thus victory in the first section – to Copino VA by Cooper-Coriano (Manfred von Allwörden) and Diarmuid Howley. Second place in the respective sections went to several Holsteiners. One of these was Lila by For Ever Jump-Cascadello I (Dirk Ahlmann), who was ridden by Pheline Ahlmann and received a score of 8.6. The same applied to Ziroquada T by Zirocco Blue-Coronado (Marc Tummes). In the third class, two Holsteiners also secured the silver ribbon (8.5): Caruso by Comme il faut out of Sandro Boy (Sven Graefe), ridden by Jana Fink, and Loretta RR by Inaico VDL out of Corland (ZG Redderberg/Rickers), ridden by Antonia-Selina Brinkop. In addition, our Holsteiners took a total of five third places (8.4): Chember by Charleston out of Quebec (Lutz Dechau) and Marike Reimers, La Calina by Cannavaru out of Caretino (Hans Hermann-Gericke) and Sophie Hinners, Hickstead’s Heidi W by Hickstead White out of Caretino (Britta Wittenbrink) and Britta Wittenbrink, Lillet by Catch-Paramount (Levka Friedrichsen) and Teike Carstensen, and Baxxter by Breitling-Acorado I (ZG Familie Tischer) and Jonte Hansen.

Five-year-old show jumpers
In the afternoon, the action continued with the show jumpers a year younger. 82 pairs took to the course in an M* class show jumping competition over 1.20 metres. Here, two Holsteiners secured third place. With a score of 8.4 each, these were Mr. Million by Million Dollar-Cash and Carry (Jörg Carstensen), ridden by Teike Carstensen, and Dicardino by Dinken-Cardino (Jens Thomsen), ridden by Stefanie Englert.
