On the third day of the Bundeschampionat, numerous Holsteiners once again secured placings in all three disciplines. The following successes were recorded in show jumping, cross-country and dressage.
Eight-year-old and older show jumpers
Lucas Wenz and Charaktervoll HV by Comme il faut-Contendro I (Manfred von Allwörden) completed the S* show jumping class quickly and without faults, securing third place. The Grand Prix of Warendorf on Friday evening marks the finale of this tour. Alongside Charaktervoll HV, the following Holsteiners secured places in the top ten in this competition:
· Clou by Casall-Lux (Nicole Struve) and Pia-Luise Bauer, 7th place
· Keaton HV by Kannan-Contendro I (Rudlof Schmitt), 8th place
Seven-year-old show jumpers
For the seven-year-olds, the second qualifier was already on the programme on Thursday. Here, the former Holsteiner Champion Stallion Vigado by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Quo Vados I (Witt Pferdezucht GbR) and Lucas Wenz were narrowly beaten into second place. In addition, the following Holsteiners finished in the top 10 in this S*-class show jumping competition:
· Ziroquada T by Zirocco Blue–Coronado (Marc Tummes) and Hendrik Dowe, 7th place
· McGuyver by Million Dollar out of Colman (Manfred Nissen) and Björn Behrend, 9th place
Six-year-old eventing horses
Last year’s Bundeschampion, Casanova by Cascadello I-Contender (Reimer Detlef Hennings), secured his place in the final with a score of 8.6. Ben Leuwer rode the Holsteiner to fourth place. In addition, Curysler CSH by Cyrkon xx-Looping (Thomas Nissen), ridden by Esteban Benitez Valle, finished in tenth place (7.7).
Five-year-old eventing horses
Four talented Holstein cross-country horses secured a top-ten finish in the final qualifier:
· Novia by Cascadello I-Carry (Hans-Peter Löding-Hasenkamp) and Felicia von Baath, 6th place (8.2)
· Codero by Corfu de la Vie-Rocadero (Thorsten Groeneveld) and Andreas Dibowski, 8th place (8.0)
· Uno by United Way out of Centurion (Jan Kai Hansen) and Lotte Palmgren, 8th place (8.0)
· De Jonny by Diarado out of War Blade xx (Berenice Weber), 8th place (8.0)
· Nizza de Rosè by Von Holstein-Calido I (Miriam-Kathleen Haack), 8th place (8.0)
Six-year-old dressage horses
A Holsteiner also made it onto the list of placings at the Warendorf dressage arena. We are talking about Sullivan ABN by Secret-Carpaccio (Anja Nygaard) and Nina Verina Braun. The pair received an overall mark of 8.02 and finished in ninth place.
