The Holsteiner Verband is one of the world’s most successful and oldest warmblood breeding associations. Since the association was founded in 1883, Holsteiner-bred horses have played a pivotal role in the development of equestrian sport worldwide and continue to set the standard in show jumping, dressage and eventing to this day.

With nearly 5,000 members, the Holsteiner Verband holds a significant position in the equine market. The parent company in Kiel has two subsidiaries, both limited liability companies (GmbHs). Stutengestaltungs GmbH, which focuses on the rearing, husbandry and breeding-related marketing of licensed stallions, and Vermarktungs und Auktions GmbH, which focuses on the marketing of Holsteiner horses and foals from our breeders and members.

From 1 September 2022, the Holsteiner Verband is seeking a new

Managing Director (m/f/d)

for Holsteiner Verband Marketing and Auctions GmbH.

Your responsibilities:

• Overall management and representation of Holsteiner Verband Vermarktungs GmbH.
• Operational management of the facilities at the Elmshorn site, including stable operations.
• Responsibility for the organisation and running of auction events, including the independent selection of the relevant auction lots.
• Personnel management, including the organisation of training and further education.
• Strategic development of Vermarktungs GmbH.
• Providing close support to breeders and members of the Holsteiner Verband and further developing the marketing opportunities offered by the Holsteiner Verband.

Your profile:

• You have at least three years’ professional experience in the marketing and/or training of warmblood horses for show jumping, dressage and/or eventing.
• You are confident in German and English, both spoken and written.
• You have experience in managing staff.
• A commercial apprenticeship or similar qualification would be an advantage.
