The Holsteiner Horse Breeders’ Association (Verband der Züchter des Holsteiner Pferdes e.V.) is seeking a MANAGING DIRECTOR (m/f) for its own stallion breeding company, Hengsthaltungs GmbH, to start by summer 2021 at the latest.

Key responsibilities:

• Management of the stud farm in Elmshorn
• Identifying, purchasing and developing exceptional sires
  for the Association with the typical Holsteiner strengths (movement, superior conformation, high knees, jumping ability, temperament), and taking the lead in organising their training
• Personnel management
• Making the best possible genetics available to members of the Holsteiner Verband

Requirements:

• Excellent knowledge of European, and specifically Holstein, show jumping breeding and international show jumping
• Excellent knowledge of managing a competition stable
• Enthusiasm and dedication to Holsteiner horse breeding
• Ability to work in a structured, independent and strategic manner
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Good to very good command of English
• Good computer skills in MS Office
• Comprehensive business knowledge
