The election of at least one member of the Executive Board is on the agenda for the delegates’ meetings on 11 December 2024. The delegates may elect a First Chairperson of the Holsteiner Horse Breeders’ Association e.V. Furthermore, motions have been received which could result in further elections for Executive Board positions.
In accordance with the Articles of Association (A10 No. 1), candidates for the Executive Board who have been endorsed by at least 50 per cent of the votes cast and have been endorsed by their licensing district chairperson, are usually given the opportunity to introduce themselves to members via a profile (on the Holsteiner Verband website and in the association’s magazine PFERD+SPORT).
According to the Articles of Association, in the event of early dismissal or early termination of a position on the Executive Board for other reasons before the end of the regular term of office, the eligibility requirements relating to the 50 per cent rule in the selection district no longer apply (A10 No. 1, paragraphs 2 and 3). This means that, upon the recommendation of a breeding district chairperson, a new Executive Board member may, in principle, be elected directly by the Delegates’ Assembly for the term of office specified in A10 No. 10, paragraph 4 (the remainder of the term for which the replaced Executive Board member was originally elected).
In the interests of keeping members informed, the Executive Committee wishes to give potential candidates the opportunity, in this election too, to introduce themselves and outline their ideas for their work on the Executive Committee in advance by means of a profile.
Potential candidates may request the profile template from the Breeding District Chairpersons or from Johanna Voth (jvoth@holsteiner-verband.de); alternatively, the Breeding District Chairpersons may pass these on to potential candidates known to them. Completed profiles may be emailed to Johanna Voth up to and including Monday 2 December. The submitted profiles will be published on the Holsteiner Verband’s website on Wednesday 4 December.
