Series: The Executive Board updates members

As part of this series, information on the work of the Holsteiner Verband’s Executive Board will be published at regular intervals. We would like to keep you, our members, informed about the Executive Board’s findings and decisions. However, we also ask for your understanding that not all decisions can be made public immediately. Read parts one and two of the series again.

Item 1: Hengsthaltungs GmbH – Sebastian Rohde to
succeed Norbert Boley After 40 years with the Holsteiner Breeders’ Association, Norbert Boley will hand over the reins to his successor in April 2022: Sebastian Rohde will take up his post as Managing Director of Holsteiner Verband Hengsthaltungs GmbH on 15 March 2022. A detailed introduction to the future Managing Director will follow.

Top 2: Information event on ‘new reproduction methods’
On 6 December 2021 at 7.00 pm, an interactive information event on the topic of ‘new reproduction methods’ will take place at the invitation of Hengsthaltungs GmbH in the Fritz-Thiedemann-Halle in Elmshorn. Experts and breeders will discuss the pros and cons of embryo transfer (ET), oocyte pick-up (OPU) and intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). Due to limited seating capacity in Elmshorn and the current COVID-19 situation, registration is reserved exclusively for members of the Holsteiner Breeders’ Association; however, the panel discussion will also be streamed live on the association’s website, www.holsteiner-verband.de, for anyone interested. There will be an opportunity to ask questions via a chat function.

Top 3: Advisory Board election
At the Delegates’ Assembly on 15 December 2021, the prospective Advisory Board members will introduce themselves in person prior to the election.

Furthermore:
Promoting dressage and fostering even closer cooperation with young Holsteiner breeders are also priorities for the Executive Board, and plans are to be drawn up to address these.
