The Holsteiner Horse Days, held in mid-June in Elmshorn, have been a fixture on the calendar for athletes, breeders and lovers of the Holsteiner horse for many years. From 10 to 14 June, visitors to Herbert-Blöcker-Platz can once again look forward to a varied programme featuring exciting sporting events, breeding and marketing – this year complemented by a jazz concert on Sunday afternoon. Today, Thursday 28 May, is the closing date for entries for the State Championships and all other competitions!
Alongside the traditional Holsteiner State Championships in dressage and show jumping, qualifiers for the National Championships, the Foal Auction and the Association’s Mare Show, the competition programme once again includes performance tests for four- to six-year-old stallions based on the stallion performance testing system introduced last year. The classes will be held in both dressage and show jumping. German dressage and show jumping stallions from all associations are eligible to enter – an attractive opportunity for riders and stallion owners alike.
The riding and dressage horse classes are also open to horses from all associations. For the purposes of the State Championships, Holsteiner horses and German riding horses born in Schleswig-Holstein will be considered.
