Friday at the Holsteiner Horse Days is dedicated to young show jumpers. The four- to seven-year-old youngsters competed in their qualifying rounds and secured their places in the final competitions.
Among the four-year-olds, Casallon KA by Casall-Carembar de Muze (breeders Astrid and Volker Kaack) led the first group in the Class A* show jumping class. Antonia-Selina Brinkop rode the chestnut to a flawless ‘Very Good’, scoring 9.0. Second place went to Victory by Vigo d’Arsouilles-Contendro I (Rudolf Schmitt), ridden by Arne van Heel. The judges awarded an 8.5 for the pair’s performance. With an 8.3, Antonia-Selina Brinkop also placed Omarie by Don VHP-Numero Uno (Gerhard Ohlsen) in third place. Victory in the second division went to United Pleasure by United Way-For Pleasure (Rita Siebke-Baasch) and Lucas Wenz. The jury awarded the grey stallion a score of 8.8. Behind them, Bart van der Maat and Don Diegeo by Don VHP-Loran (Matthias Wree) ranked second with 8.4, ahead of Codi by Colman-Diarado (Jessen Frank) and Jonna Anni Holthusen with 8.3.
The five-year-olds determined their qualifiers’ winners in an L-class show jumping class. The Holstein Association stallion Deichkind by Don VHP-Limbus (Rasmus Lüneburg) took the honours here. Arne van Heel put the five-year-old in the spotlight with an impressive performance and was rewarded with a score of 9.0. In second place (8.8) was Hans-Günther Klein with his home-bred Cornet Calys by Cornet Obolensky out of Cassini I. Third place was shared by two licensed stallions: Firstly, Diacont by Diamant de Semilly–Contender (Wolfgang Weber), ridden by Sebastian Rohde, and secondly, Comme Le Feut by Comme il Faut–Caretino (Ivonne Carstensen), presented by Tjade Carstensen. Both horses were awarded a score of 8.7.
The final for the four-year-olds takes place on Saturday at 10.45 am, whilst the five-year-olds will determine their state champion on Sunday at 1.30 pm.
