In Pratoni del Vivaro (Italy), where the World Eventing Championships are scheduled to take place in 2022, there were good placings for the Holsteiners.
With his sixth place in the CCI4* L, FISCHERWild Wave by Waterdance xx-Acobat (photo; ZG Marks/Muffels, Sommerland) secured official Olympic qualification. The eight-year-old was ridden by Michael Jung. The same applies to Cato by Contendro I-Heraldik xx (ZG Schmidt, Naumburg), ridden by Louise Romeike (Sweden), who finished tenth.
Two Holsteiners placed in the CCI4* S: Castelan by Catoki-Ciacomo (Hans Witten, Ahrensburg) finished sixth under Dirk Schrade, ahead of Charisma TH by Chepetto-Colman (Heike Thiede, Westerdeichstrich) under Peter Thomsen.
In the CCI3* S, Fortune III by For Fashion-Arystokrat (Dr Klaus Gumpert, Grevenkop) finished third under Pietro Grandis (Italy).
