At the Nations Cup in Vilamoura, Portugal, Germany won the Nations Cup ahead of France and Italy. The team included C Vier by Cardento-Concorde (W. Wolters, Groningen), Stamm 8818, and David Will. C Vier has only been based with David Will in Dagobertshausen since mid-2020 and was previously highly successful under Janine Rijkens (GER) up to 1.60-metre level. The pair also secured third place in another 1.50-metre show jumping competition.
Carinja by For Fashion-Carinjo (Walter Wilfried, Schenefeld), line 4145, and Leon Thijssen (NED) jumped to victory in a 1.40-metre show jumping class in Vilamoura. Meanwhile, his daughter Sanne Thijssen is competing in Valencia (ESP) at the Sunshine Tour and placed her Con Quidam by Quinar-Cardino (ZG Bröcking, Borken), line 1446, in several Longines Ranking show jumping competitions at 1.45-metre level.
Dialuna (Klaus-Peter Wiepert, Neuratjensdorf), a daughter of Diarado-Quidam’s Rubin, line 3488, and her trainer Christian Hess won a Youngster S-class show jumping competition at the Nordic Jumping event in Negernbötel. The seven-year-old crossed the finish line a good two seconds ahead of the runner-up. In another advanced-level show jumping class at the competition, Bakkara MNM by Cassini I-Claudio’s Son (Günay Equestrian Invest, Otter), line 3079, and the Swede Alexander Nilsson took the win.
