In a demanding course at S* level with a subsequent jump-off, the seven-year-old show jumpers sought – and found – their champion. Chanio by Carvallo BB-Corrado I (ZG Lüneburg, Hetlingen), stem 8763, galloped away from the competition and can henceforth adorn itself with the honourable title.

Eleven starting pairs had qualified for the jump-off, and a rider who has repeatedly proven that he can deliver lightning-fast rounds had also prepared his youngster Chanio perfectly for this final: Sven Gero Hünicke, two-time German Champion of Young Show Jumpers, is employed by Hinerk Köhlbrandt on the island of Fehmarn and also rides several horses for the Lüneburg family. This also includes the gelding Chanio, with whom Hünicke had already won the M** level qualification class.

Comic by Comme il faut-Casall and Simon Heineke (photo above) – who is a rider at the Moorhof in Holm near Hamburg, where Comic was also bred – secured silver in the championship. Third place went to Cool Limit RN by Cormint-Loutano (Sven Bussius, Sylt/photo below), line 3030, and Björn Behrend.
