Kuwait, the USA, Portugal: Holsteiner successes around the world

Quintago VA (Manfred von Allwörden, Grönwohld), a licensed son of Quidam de Revel and Capitol I, line 3389, has won a 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Thermal (USA) with his Swedish rider Mariano Maggi. He began his competitive career in Germany under Christian Hess and has achieved placings up to 1.55-metre level. Lorstakov by Lordanos-Sir Shostakovich xx (Heiko Büttner, Schafstedt), line 776, and Lauren Hester (USA) took third place. Ninth and tenth places were taken by Belladonna by Clearway-Carinjo (Gerhard Rörink, Haaksbergen), line 2067, with Mavis Spencer (USA) in the saddle, and Casebrooke Lomond by Lansing-Calido I (Bert Elstob, New Zealand), line 5064, ridden by Katie Laurie (AUS).

The reigning U25 Show Jumping Cup champions, Clippo by Casall-Lorentin I (Katrin Schmielau, Wesselburenkoog), line 628B, and Finja Bormann (GER) won the 1.45-metre World Ranking Show Jumping competition in Vilamoura, Portugal. Third place also went to a Holsteiner: Fernando by For Pleasure–Corrado I (Jürgen Hattebuhr, Winsen), line 8763, and Johnny Pals (NED) secured the bronze.

The Quantum-Alcatraz son Qualifying de Hus (Reiner Schmitz, Wachtberg), line 1752, and Ali al Khorafi (KUW) won both the 1.45-metre Grand Prix and another 1.40-metre class at the CSI2* in Kuwait.

The Holsteiners also enjoyed success in tough national competitions: ridden by Dominique Michelle Weber (GER), Chasseur en blanc by Clearway-Zeus (Gerhard Hügenell, Freinsheim) won the Grand Prix, S*** with a jump-off, in Holle Wüsting. The day before, the grey had already taken second place in the S** show jumping class with a winning round, ahead of Cloudless by Clarimo-Acobat II (Stephan Johannsen, Hörup), line 318D1, ridden by Patrick Stühlmeyer.
