On Wednesday, 10 May 2023, the second performance test for mares this year will take place at the society's premises in Elmshorn. 29 mares, including those registered with the Trakehner Verband and entered in the Pferdestammbuch SH/HH, have been entered for this date. Proceedings begin at 09:00 hrs and spectators are warmly welcomed.
The one-day performance test is conducted by the Holsteiner Verband in cooperation with the Pferdestammbuch Schleswig-Holstein/Hamburg. It commences with the evaluation of free jumping by two judges. Afterwards, the mare is presented again under its own rider in a group to the panel to assess the basic paces and rideability. This is followed by the test rider assessment to evaluate rideability. Since 2021, five-year-old mares have also been eligible to take the test.
