A son of Million Dollar-Clarimo is the new Holsteiner YoungStar. Already known in Holstein under the name Mbappé P, the eight-year-old is now attracting international attention as Bull Run’s Amen.
The gelding, bred by Timm Peters in Bargenstedt, was brought into sport by Lena Glisic. As a five- and six-year-old, she qualified him for the Bundeschampionat with top marks. In competitions up to 1.40 metres, they were victorious the following year, with the pair collecting successes in Breitenburg, Ehlersdorf and Riesenbeck, among others, before Kristen Vanderveen (USA) took notice of him. She has now had the representative of line 6786 in her stable for a few months – and gave him the name Bull Run’s Amen.
And the American rider and her new acquisition immediately gave an indication of a promising future together. In Ocala (USA) and over the past weeks in Doha (QAT), the pair placed in the top 5 several times in show jumping competitions up to 1.50 metres.
“Right from the start, I was convinced of Million Dollar's sire power. That is why I chose him several times for our mares. Among them for the then three-year-old Goja. That was to prove a good mating. Mbappé's potential could be recognised early on,” breeder Timm Peters recalls of Bull Run’s Amen's beginnings in sport.
