Holsteiner YoungStar: Baxxter

The first Holsteiner YoungStar of the year 2026 is named Baxxter. Bred by Thomas and Rainer Tischer (Lauda), the Breitling LS-Acorado I son jumped into the international limelight at the Frankfurt Festhalle riding competition shortly before Christmas. In two out of three classes of the Youngster Tour, the gelding led the prize-giving ceremonies – and scooped the overall victory. In the saddle sat the man known for fast riding like scarcely any other: Richard Vogel.

Baxxter started his sporting career with Jonte Hansen. They celebrated remarkable successes at the state and national championships (Landes- and Bundeschampionat) and represented Holstein's colours at the World Breeding Championship for Young Horses in Lanaken (BEL).

The Quintero grandson originates from line 1298 – known as the legendary "Lord line". His second dam, Negrill by Caretino, is also the dam of the Zirocco Blue son Zaccorado Blue, who accumulated international successes up to 1.60 metres with David Will in the saddle. And with Lucy La Douce by Colman, Katharina von Essen's stable is home to a half-sister of Baxxter who, due to her outstanding successes, has also already been presented in this series and most recently jumped to third place in the Championship of Münster.
