A two-phase show jumping competition in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP) over 1.45 metres was won by Caliber Royale (Manfred Johannsen, Tornesch), a son of Cayado-Narew xx, line 474A, ridden by Christopher Burton (AUS). Also in Spain, the Crunch-Alcatraz daughter Chilli (ZG Lüneburg, Hetlingen), ridden by the Italian Luca Maria Moneta, won a 1.45-metre show jumping competition. Her dam, Leica from line 8763, was herself highly successful in competition up to 1.60 metres with Rasmus Lüneburg.
Furthermore, Quind won a 1.40-metre show jumping class in Thermal (USA) with Erin Davis-Heineking in the saddle. The gelding by Quick Fire-Corrado I was bred by Henning Saggau, Hasenmoor (line 1446), and entered competition in Germany under Jennifer Fogh Pedersen and Inga Czwalina.
In an Intermédiaire II (S***) in Vechta, Belle de Carpie by De Chirico-Carpaccio (Markus Jürgens, Breckerfeld), line 8780, and Juliane Brunkhorst took second place. Brunkhorst has already had very good experiences with Holsteiner dressage horses; for example, she trained Devanto by De Chirico-Lorentin (Holger Wesselmann, Kelleinghusen), line 49, up to Grand Prix level and presented him, amongst other events, in the final of the Louisdor Prize. He is now enjoying success in the top class under the Swedish rider Tinne Vilhemson Silfvén.
