Three consecutive victories in the Global Champions League – that’s never happened before. This remarkable feat was achieved by Team Riesenbeck International, which also includes Max Weishaupt (GER) and Zuccero HV by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf), Stamm 4539. Together with team-mate Marco Kutscher, the team remained without a single penalty point and secured victory in Monte Carlo. In the Prix Mairie de Monaco – an individual competition – over 1.60 metres, Kristen Vanderveen (USA) and Bull Run’s Jireh by Urio-Colman (Timm Peters, Bargenstedt), line 890, also took third place.
There was also a reunion in Monte Carlo with Starbucks by Stakkato-Colman, bred by Jeanette Völz (line 6786) and brought into the sport by Peter Glisic in Schleswig-Holstein. The gelding is now in Kristen Vanderveen’s stables and has won a 1.50-metre show jumping competition in the coastal state.
