Another victory for Viva las Vegas W by Vagabond de la Pomme-Cancara (Matthias Wittke, Marienheide), family 318D2, in Ocala: Just a few weeks ago, the nine-year-old had won a 1.45-metre show jumping class here with Richard Vogel, now the mare repeated the victory with Sophie Hinners in the saddle. "She always thinks along. I wasn't the fastest at the beginning of the jump-off, but we caught up well as it progressed," said a satisfied rider afterwards.
Christoph Brüse sits in the saddle of the Colman daughter Elalisa (dam's sire: Con Air, Bärbel Leffers, Holzdorf), family 890. In Lier (BEL), she was third in a 1.45-metre class. At this competition, Comthago VDL by Comme il faut-Carthago (Wilhelm Kochs, Eschweiler), family 3697, was also able to record a success with Hessel Hoekstra (NED): The pair won a 1.45-metre show jumping class.
At the five-star competition in Paris (FRA), Darc de Lux by Darco-Contender with Andreas Schou (Morten Augutsin, DEN), family 1094, jumped to seventh place in the 1.60-metre Grand Prix. Chicharito by Casalito-Quo Vados I (Karl-Heinz Knudsen, Pellworm), family 741, and Adrian Schmid additionally came in eighth.
Dito is a son of Diarado-Canturo (Günther Roskothen, Satrup), family 776, and won a 1.40-metre competition in Vejer de la Frontera (ESP). Jose Antonio Garcia Diana (ESP) was in the saddle. And Dito has well-known relatives: His dam Shamrock I also produced the licensed Crunch by Clarimo, his 1.50-metre successful full brother Crunch K and many other sport horses.
