Barbara Schnieper (SUI) is riding Toronto Raptor by Totilas-Corofino I (Reimer Nagel, Marne), line 18B1, and, riding the bay horse – who was introduced to the sport under Michael Ziems – she has now won a 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Donaueschingen-Immenhöfe – namely the Grand Prix. The Swiss rider thus repeated her victory from the previous year.
The former Bundeschampion Con Quality also shone at this competition: the Chin Champ-Quality son, bred by Hartmut Knop, took third place in the Donaueschingen Championship over 1.45 metres with Adrian Schmid (SUI) in the saddle.
Once stabled at Marcus Ehning’s and now enjoying success for some time under the saddle of the Brazilian rider Yuri Mansur is the Casall-Landos I son Cupfer (Nybor Pferde GmbH & Co. KG, Borken), line 4. In Opglaabeek, he took second place in a 1.45-metre class. Also competing here was Milva RB, a daughter of Million Dollar out of a Lasino dam (ZG Bröcking, Borken), line 2554, who took third place under the saddle of Eiken Sato (JPN).
Cayadino by Cayado-Quick Fire (Ulrich Rodde, Strande), line 162, and Hannes Ahlmann (GER) are competing together at 1.60-metre level; in Samorin (SVK), the grey now took second place in the 1.55-metre show jumping class.
In the Grand Prix of Valkenswaard (NED), a Holsteiner known for its success once again secured a top placing: Monaco by Cassini II-Contender (Ralf Lütje, Haseldorf), line 429, jumped to second place with Harrie Smolders.
Eventing
In the three-star event in Hamm, a Holsteiner mare took third place: Caja by Cassilano-Aljano (Lorenz Lassen, Waabs), line 1525, galloped to the bronze medal under Berit Schulz (GER). Fourth place went to Checkpoint A by Cormint-Clarimo, ridden by Greta Laetizia Tidow (GER). The gelding from line 1907 was bred by ZG Andresen on the island of Amrum.
