In Donaueschingen, two Holsteiners led the lap of honour in the 1.40-metre show jumping class: Chimney Sweep by Calato-Contender (Hans-Hermann Gericke, Tönning), line 2269, is a former Holsteiner auction horse and took the win with Lisa Schill-Huber in the saddle. Second place went to Classic White by Clarimo-Cassini I (Frank Plock, Borken), line 6042, ridden by Emma Bachl. Another competition over 1.40 metres was won by Rio by Riscal la Silla-Canto (Gerd Carstensen, Hörup), line 318D1, and Emily Mason from Great Britain. Quiwitino WZ by Quiwi Dream–Caretino (Sören von Rönne, Neudendeich), line 8677, and Felix Hassmann (GER) emerged as the winners of a 1.45-metre course.
Riding Aretino (Peter Thomsen, Epenwöhrden), a son of Artani by Caretino, line 6582, Belgian rider Gilles Thomas celebrated his first victory at five-star level – and what a victory it was! Against a prestigious backdrop in Hickstead, they were celebrated as winners and secured almost 50,000 euros in prize money.
Gregory Wathelet (BEL) rides Clarity by Clarimo-Ephebe for Ever (Christian Jörgensen, DEN). Riding the stallion, he finished fourth in a 1.50-metre show jumping competition in Dinard, France.
Another fourth place in a 1.50-metre show jumping competition was recorded in Valkenswaard (NED) for a Holsteiner: namely for Cartier SR by Canturenter-Cassini I (Detlef Hennings, Bendorf), line 4705, ridden by Nina Mallevaey (FRA). At this same show, Sanne Thijssen (NED) also claimed victory over 1.40 metres with Zeppelin Blue (Peter Schröder, Schwesing), a son of Zirocco Blue out of Ramiro Z, line 4847.
Dressage
In Neu-Anspach, Darling by Damon Hill-Linaro (Günther Fielmann, Schierensee), line 776, and Katharina Dülffer (GER) celebrated several successes in the Junior Tour: After securing second place in the individual test, they won the final freestyle. Darling is a daughter of Mira G, who is, amongst others, the dam of Annabelle (Helen Langehanenberg) and the licensed stallions De Chirico and Amber.
