In Wellington (USA), Carlito’s Way by Casall-Lordanos (Johannes Petersen, Bredenbek), line 4847, and Alexa Pessoa (USA) took second place in a 1.45-metre show jumping class. Consul by Clearway-Contender (Harm Thormählen, Kollmar), line 3615, and Daniel Geany (IRL) also finished in fourth place.
In Opglabbeek (BEL), several Holsteiners excelled in a U25 show jumping competition: Cutest Tabou by Clinton I out of Quintero (Klaus-Wilhelm Gehrts, Zennhusen), line 2383, and Hannah-Michelle Wilken (GER) took silver. Clabimba by Clarimo-Caretino (Gesa Bremer, Henningstedt), line 95, and Beata Hermelin (SWE) came fourth, whilst Chardonnay by Cero I-Contender (Harm Thormählen, Kollmar), line 3615, and Johanna Beckmann came seventh. Incidentally, Chardonnay is the half-brother of the aforementioned Consul and represents the Fein Cera family.
The Cassiano-Corleone daughter Baden Classic enjoyed success this weekend in Arezzo (ITA). With Sönke Aldinger in the saddle, the mare bred by Martin Walter (Willstätt-Legelshausen), line 730B, initially placed fifth in a difficult show jumping class and then went on to win another. Baden Classic also boasts a son, Charmeur W by Carrico, who has already enjoyed success at S-level.
Riding Cipetto by Contagio-Contender (Christian Weiss, Wartenberg), line 2067, is Jannick Yorand (CHE), who secured a silver medal with the gelding in the 1.45-metre show jumping competition in Arezzo (ITA).
Dressage
At the CDI4* in Gössendorf, Austria, the Totilas-Loutano son Te Quiero SFI (Hans Reisinger, Wolnzach), line 5302, and Christian Schumach (AUT) won the Grand Prix Freestyle. The pair had previously finished third in the Grand Prix and had represented Austria at several championships, including the Tokyo Olympic Games.
