The Meyer family from Nottfeld has already enjoyed a number of breeding successes with line 4847: this branch is not only the source of the former Holsteiner Champion Stallion Esmeraldo by Emerald van het Ruytershof. He is also the half-brother of Cornela by Cornet Obolensky-Caretino (Friedrich Meyer). The grey mare has now won a 1.45-metre show jumping class at Oliva Nova, ridden by Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and watched by the whole family.
Also victorious at this venue was Paris Vandousselaere (BEL), a rider from the Meyer-Zimmermann stable: she rode Cachonda by Cachas-Asca (Friedrich Meyer, Nottfeld) to victory over 1.40 metres – yet another pure ‘family project’ with roots in Nottfeld, as the stallion Cachas was also bred by Friedrich Meyer – Janne Friederike’s father – himself.
Theo by Christian-Calando IV (Gerhard Krätzer, Loit), line 8865, is Conor Swail’s (IRL) long-standing successful horse. In Thermal, the pair have now won the Grand Prix over 1.60 metres. “Theo was incredible throughout the entire tour. He’s finished second or third here several times and has always been clear. That’s why I’m delighted that he’s won now – he deserves it,” said Swail after the victory.
In ’s-Hertogenbosch, Richard Vogel once again successfully presented a son of Casall: Cloudio by Casall-Cassini I (Heike Arendt, Sollwitt), line 5889, and his rider had recently won a 1.55-metre show jumping class in Hong Kong in brilliant style and have now finished fifth in the Netherlands over 1.50 metres.
Albert Klos from Wald-Michelbach is the proud breeder of Zensation, a daughter of Zirocco Blue-Clarimo, line 1120. Ridden by Elisabeth Meyer (GER), the mare finished second last week in Gorla Minore (ITA) and has now taken third place over 1.45 metres in Arezzo (ITA).
A highly promising son of Uriko is making a name for himself on the international stage: we are talking about Li La Bo (MV. Casall), bred by Lothar Steuer of Pansdorf, line 318D2. In December 2024, he won a 1.50-metre show jumping class at the Festhalle competition in Frankfurt with the Italian rider Elia Simonetti. He has now finished fourth in Arezzo.
