In Gorla Minore (ITA), the Cassilano-Quick Star son Caracho and Steve Guerdat (SUI) flew to victory in the 1.45-metre Grand Prix. Jens Ritters from Krumstedt is the breeder of Caracho, who represents stem 730B. Sixth place in this class also went to Lilli Fee FZ by For Fashion-Clearway (Frank Pick, Wöhrden), stem 4303, ridden by Valentina Isoardi (ITA).
In the 1.60-metre Longines Global Champions Tour Grand Prix in Doha (QAT), Coolio by Casalito-Quidam de Revel (Martina Wirtz, Hohenzieritz), stem 2067, and Marcus Ehning (GER) secured an outstanding third place. Previously, the combination had already finished sixth in a 1.55-metre show jumping class. In this competition, Con Quidam by Quinar-Cardino (ZG Bröcking, Borken), stem 1446, and Sanne Thijssen took fourth place.
Dywis HH by Toulon-Corofino II (Peter Huismann, NED), stem 741, and Maikel van der Vleuten (NED) emerged victorious in a 1.55-metre course at the Global Champions League. Quel Filou by Quiwi Dream-Lerano (Bernd Mohr, Ellerhoop), stem 1986, and Amelia Douglass (AUS) also finished fourth in a 1.50-metre course at this five-star CSI.
Eventing
In Portugal, more precisely in Mata di Duque, a son of Diarado galloped to the top of a three-star eventing competition: Crossborder Radar Love is the name of the gelding bred by Hindrick Stüvel (Rosengarten), out of a Claudio’s Son dam (stem 6786). Crossborder Radar Love found his way into international sport via the stables of Merel Blom (NED), and the eleven-year-old is now ridden by Raf Kooremans (NED). Chin Tonic HS by Chin Champ-Quinar (Inken Countess of Platen-Hallermund, Wangels), stem 474A, and Will Coleman (USA) won the four-star event in Leesburg (USA).
Dressage
The Casall-Lavaletto daughter Lavaletta (Uwe Pahl, Dägeling) won the Kurz-Grand Prix in Ankum (GER), after the mare from stem 2895 had already finished second in the Intermédiaire II. She was ridden by Tessa Frank, who had already opened the new season with Lavaletta with a victory at S*** level in Schenefeld at the end of last year.
Awarded
In the USA, Can’t Touch This HS by Casall-Canturo (Reece Miller/USA) was honoured as the best hunter at national championships. Jason Mc Ardle (USA) was in the saddle of the stallion.
