At the CSI Hof Waterkant, the former Holstein State Champion Corsica by Connor-Corofino II (Ehrich Westphal, Stipsdorf), line 4564, won a 1.50-metre class with Rene Dittmer (GER). This was the mare’s first victory at this level – her career really took off in Elmshorn when she won the State Championship for seven-year-olds with Marten Witt (GER) in the saddle. Second place went to the hostess, Janne-Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann (GER), riding Cornela by Cornet Obolensky-Caretino, bred by the family and from line 4847. Another Holsteiner made it into the top six: the former Bundeschampion Lyjanair by Lyjanero-Coriano (Wendy Davis Gerrish, USA), line 474A, ridden by Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE).
At this competition, the association-owned stallion Zuccero by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf), line 4539, and Rolf-Göran Bengtsson (SWE) secured the bronze medal in a 1.50-metre show jumping class with a jump-off. The pair used this splendid competition on the outskirts of Hamburg to prepare for the European Championships in Milan (ITA) in late August/early September.
In the Grand Prix, Canmore by Casall-Contender (Birgit Becker, Metelen), line 18A2, was one of only four out of 40 horses to complete the 1.60-metre course clear of faults. Markus Renzel (GER) was in the saddle and ultimately secured fourth place in the competition. For Canmore, the appearance in Pinneberg was a brief visit to his old home, as Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann had once introduced the dark bay to his first major competitions. His breeder, Birgit Becker, was also awarded a special prize of 1,000 euros by Equine 74, the Dietz family from Hamburg. This prize was offered to the breeder of the best Holsteiner in the competition. Caja by Clarimo-Coriano (Reinhold Distel, Wächtersbach), ridden by Jens Baackmann (GER), finished fifth in the Grand Prix. Just two time faults in the first round prevented them from qualifying for the jump-off.
In Hungary, Lord Mexx by Larimar-Coriano (Hans Bock, Quickborn), line 1811, and Angelos Touloupis (GRE) topped the honours list in a 1.50-metre show jumping competition. The pair had already competed this year in Samorin (SVK), Athens (GRE) and Budapest (HUN).
Eventing
With Nickel by Numero Uno–Lorentin I (Hindrick Stüvel, Rosengarten), line 4303, Julia Krajewski has a highly talented Holsteiner in her stable who has already made a name for himself this year with his performances at the German Championships in Luhmühlen and Wiesbaden, securing top placings at four-star level. In Nokere-Waregem, Belgium, he has now galloped to victory in a three-star event. Fourth place went to Coolja by Cool Man K-Acord II (Jan Poggendorf, Ostenfeld), line 3030, and Hendrik Degros (BEL).

Te Quiero SF by Totilas-Loutano (Hans Reisinger, Wolnzach), line 5302, and Christian Schumach have already represented Austria at championships, including the Olympic Games in Tokyo. They won a Grand Prix at the CDI4* in Achleiten (AUT) this weekend.
