To round off their stay in Arezzo (ITA), Janne Friederike Meyer-Zimmermann and Cornela won the Silver Tour final (1.45 metres). The grey mare by Cornet Obolensky-Caretino (line 4847) was bred by the family; her sire, Friedrich Meyer from Nottfeld, is responsible for Cornela.
With her victory in the World Ranking Show Jumping event in Neustadt an der Dosse earlier this year, Tokyo proved, if she hadn’t already, that she is ready for bigger challenges. Now, the daughter of Toulon out of a Cassini I dam (Jürgen Böge, Bunsoh), line 7492, has also won the Grand Prix (1.45 metres) in Bonheiden (BEL). Another podium place went to a Holsteiner horse: SP Comoral by Casall-Calido I (Uta Sponibel, Kronprinzenkoog), line 4232, and Jessica Toelstang (DEN) took third place.
Kleons Renegade by Quintero-Stakkato (Katrin Kleon, Längenfeld/AUT), line 8768, and Christoph Obernauer (AUT) spent the weeks after the New Year in Spain preparing for 2024 – and with great success: In Gorla Minore, Italy, they have now won the 1.50-metre Grand Prix.
In the USA, more specifically in Katy, Texas, a Holsteiner son of Verdi topped the podium in the Grand Prix: Vittorio S (MV. Rheinsberg) was born to Ursula Schultz (Stall Madrigal, Böbs) and represents line 7126. Nicolas Gamboa (COL) rode the gelding to victory in this 1.45-metre show jumping class. Nicolas Gamboa also took third place, once again on a Holsteiner: NKH Mr. Darcy by Darco-Chepetto (Jiri Mayer/TCH), line 5054.
Rolf-Göran Bengtsson is likely to be pleased with his weekend in Kronenberg (NED): he won a 1.45-metre class with Lyjanair by Lyjanero-Coriano (Wendy Davis Gerrish/USA), line 474A. In the Grand Prix, he also took second place with the association-approved stallion Zuccero HV by Zirocco Blue-Caretino (Hanno Köhncke, Badendorf), line 4539.
Dressage
Liverpool (by Lorentin I out of Coriander), bred by Ute von Döhren (Moorige), line 474A, and ridden by Thomas Trischenberger (AUT), is enjoying great success on the international U25 circuit. In Stadl Paura (AUT), the pair took third place in the Grand Prix.
