Calvaro, a son of Cascadello I and Quidam de Revel, and Abdel Said have won a 1.55-metre show jumping competition in Traverse City (USA). The eight-year-old belongs to line 7673 and was bred by Reimer Detlef Hennings (Bendorf).
Kristen Vanderveen (USA) already has several Holsteiners with the name suffix ‘Bull Run’s’ among her competition partners. With Bull Run’s Ruah by Caracho-Quintero (Rebecca Kühl, Horst), line 5329, she has already celebrated several victories in advanced show jumping this year. Now they topped the podium in the 1.45-metre show jumping class in Traverse City. The eight-year-old had previously made his competitive debut in Schleswig-Holstein with Peter Glisic.
As recently as Tuesday, the son of Cornet Obolensky-Candillo Crack HV (Campos Cria de Caballos de Deporte), line 1020, impressively demonstrated his form at ‘Verbandshengste on Tour’ in Pfungstadt. Now, with Richard Vogel in the saddle, the association stallion has won a 1.45-metre show jumping class in Donaueschingen.
C-Steffra by Clarimo-Lavall I (Gerd Carstensen, Hörup), line 242, and Niklaus Schurtenberger (SUI) have been a team for a long time and have quite a few successes to their name. This weekend, they secured fourth place in a 1.55-metre show jumping class in Ascona (SUI).
In Paderborn, Tobias Meyer claimed victory in the saddle of a Holsteiner: he won a 1.45-metre show jumping class with Bacatus by Balou du Rouet-Carolus I (Davy Morels), line 4510. Also competing here, Claus by Casalito-Cosido (Fedder Feddersen, Olderup), line 890, claimed victory over 1.50 metres – with Tim Hoster (GER) in the saddle.
She is the half-sister of Hans-Dieter Dreher’s successful horse Elysium by Zirocco Blue: Clariquada T by Clarimo–Coronado I (Manfred Tummes, Mühlheim), line 4539, and is ridden by Yuri Mansur. In Kronenberg (NED), they took bronze in the 1.45-metre class.
Cascadino is a son of Cartani out of a Lacros dam (Johann H. Witt, Neuendeich) and belongs to line 306. With Romy Rosalie Tietje in the saddle, the bay has already enjoyed some success amongst the young show jumpers. He has now secured bronze in the young riders’ classification at the German Youth Championships.
